Women’s Coalition for Growth and Sustainability (WCGS) was established to address the interconnected challenges of poverty, inequality, limited leadership opportunities, and environmental degradation affecting women and girls in Uganda. Recognizing that women are powerful agents of change, WCGS was formed to create pathways for economic independence, leadership development, and sustainable livelihoods.
Our approach is grounded in inclusion, collaboration, and community ownership, ensuring that women—especially refugees and marginalized groups—are active participants in shaping their futures.
Our Mission
To empower women and girls in Uganda, including refugees and marginalized groups, by promoting economic independence, leadership, and climate-resilient livelihoods through inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven initiatives.
Our Vision
